Day 22

I mailed the SRV discs today.

I really like the way the Chief turned out so I'll put it up again:



Today is Day 22. I had a little solid food yesterday, the parts of Kelsey's lunch she didn't eat: some baby carrots, two slices of bread, and a Davy Crocket bar. It seems as if the diverticulitis symptoms are all gone for now. There's still the 40 pounds, 50 pounds, we'll decide how many some time in June.

I'm plugging along on the 1/2 pound per day pace. Every day is hard. Just so you know. It's not like it is somehow easy for me. I'm doing what I have to do.

They all turned out like the first one, so I didn't put up more pics. Here's the first one:



The circle around the nose is the mold mark on the bottom of the disc. You're seeing it because the disc is back lit in the picture. Under normal lighting you wouldn't really see that.

Diverticulitis is horrible if you don't take care of it.

Davy Crocket bars are made from oats, flour, sugar, butter and chocolate chips. They have nothing to do with Davy Crocket.

Leo took me out to lunch today and I had soup and salad. Now I'm stuffed. If I had more friends like Leo, I couldn't ever lose weight.

any pics of how the SRV discs turned out?The link requires registering. I haven't been able to find the T-shirt yet that has his image that would make a fantastic disc. Just the intro paragraph on Wikipedia on diverticulitis sounds horrific, but the Davy Crockett bar sounds delicious-- is it made from real coonskin?
