10 more inches of snow last Thursday, and the Ashford Pines remains in its nearly unplayable state that it has been in since the second week of December. Almost 4 months of near dormancy, continuous substantial snow depth the whole time. Its been an unbelievable winter. Been able to start some chainsaw work the last couple of weeks, but the snow depth still makes it hard to drag the branches, boughs and the like. The snow is also too deep for burning brush piles, so progress on that front is limited. Frost in the ground prevents the concrete work I want to get in for sleeves that will provide alternative pin placements on a couple of holes.
Hopefully this past storm was the last hurrah and things will finally melt out and dry up a bit. Then comes about two months of great playing and prime time for getting work done until the bugs get too bad.
You win, Winter! I give up, come on Spring!
