The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Well one of my favorite events is on the horizon. I am looking forward to this event this year as I do every year. Rhett and Emerald Isle put on a great event and it is always a pleasure to play! Hopefully I play better then I did during the EI Bag Tag Challenge. With smart play I hope to be in the mix. The Advanced division is always great compitition and with a couple of the players coming off of wins, it looks to be a slug fest! Good luck to everyone.

Well I didn't manage to shoot par for 2 rounds at EI. I seem to be able to manage the first round and then the second round gets me. I had a 955 and a 917 rated round for the event. Had I managed to shoot par, I would have ended up third! Well there is always next year! The EIEIO is a great event!

My second round was terrible. However, I think my theory was proven!

I wouldn't mind an Ace on Saturday. Last year I had 3 Aces during tournaments. Now getting the dollar from everyone was the hard part.

hmmmm.... Saturdays seem to be a good day for me lately! I will try to carry on the tradition.

I'm holding the other five until Saturday. That's where the real money's at.

I was just informed that AJ aced Hole 3-right from the short pad this afternoon in prep for Saturday. Hey ruble & Steven - how many aces come in a bunch?

I am looking forward to seeing who I will be playing with during the first round. The first round will be the deciding factor on how well my day is going to go. Has anyone worked out the odds for the Advanced group?

I agree, to each there own...

Fortunately you can play both smart and aggressive. For me playing smart off the tee is the most important and playing aggressive when putting will probably yield the best results.

I agree that this event will be great! For being my first PDGA event I am super excited. Nervous, but excited. Playing smart is key, but playing for birdies on every hole is essential, to be in the top 5. You gotta be a little agressive to be in contention. I can't wait to see what happens...
