The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Last Friday I threw my fifth ace. We played a practice round during the preparations for the first Austro-Hungaro tournament in Pichl. The tees were already set up, and so were the baskets. I hit the tree behind the basket (the natural target for this hole when not played in tournament setup). The disc bounced back and landed right in the basket. BTW this was my second hole in one on this hole (first one shot back in 2005. That time we used the tree as natural target).

Depends what you mean by count. I'd count it for my files, but you'd probably not collect money from an ace pool or the like.

Great shot first off. But would it count without a witness?

It was a practice round under tournament conditions. We played a "normal" round (no practice shots). It was a 4 people flight, so I had 3 witnesses.

I have often wondered what is an ace in disc golf? Do you have to have a witness? Can it be counted if you throw a second disc? In ball golf both of these would not count. No witness no ace second shot no ace. So when you are out for practice the only ace that should count would be your first throw right? If you don't have a witness what is that?
