Well, one of the ladies that I played with at O'Hauser showed up at the Fondy tournament. It was very nice to shoot with her again. She had a lot of pointers for shooting into the wind. She really made the game fun. It was also nice that she stepped up and helped guide us through the PDGA rules about OB and water and such. I don't know what we've have done without her.
In our first round, we had a younger boy on the card, and I must say, I was very impressed by how handled himself. He shot a very good round, (although he didn't think so), and he lead us from hole to hole when we were lost. He had advice for us as to which sides were harder to land on and so forth... I was most impressed with the fact that he picked up litter on the course along the way. How cool is that! A young person making the sport look good and taking pride in his course. I hope he inspires everyone else to do the same. I know I'll be proud if my boys handle themselves in the same manner as that young man.
As for the rest of the juniors, well... let's just say they're learning and we'll be really patient with that. The Fond du Lac course was nice, and I'd like to play it again sometime when it's not so windy.
Thanks again to Scott and Alexis for such a nice time. I don't know how they manage to get it all done! I was so bummed that we had to rush out so quickly that we couldn't stick around for the awards and things to say thank you. Can't wait til the next tourney! I am learning something new everytime.
