The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Silly Argument of the Day (SAD) on the PDGA message board

I still like to look at the PDGA message board to find discussions on disc golf issues - I think the organization of the threads and posts is a little easier for me to follow than on this site. But sometimes I come across the silliest, most absurd discussions on that MB, and I truly wonder about the sanity of those who participate.

Today's case in point: Relief from a dead animal

Synopsis: what happens if your disc lands on top of or wedged into a rotting animal carcass? Do you get relief? Do you have to play it where it lies? Four pages of "discussion" so far...

Actually landed inside the deer, buried in guts, disc was there for 2 years til it was just bones. No disc-olorations or odor, got that disc in the car right now.

Premiums like not paying the extra $10 fee at tournaments, having your rounds scored. Your nifty bag tag and the disc you get for joining ?

funny i thought those were the premiums. Jeeze now that i look at they arent your only premium is posting on their site, you got ripped off. I can post here all day for free and get the same if not better advice.

I am rather sad i cant participate on the pdga forum. Seems like their is alot of knowledgable people however not allowing people to post there because they arent a member and payed the dues, is ludicris.

I thought the organization was to help bring people together to help promote the sport however they dont allow people to help promote untill they fork over some cash.

sad, very sad.

ROFL, guys. I actually have beaten Ben before because he would not retrieve his disc from near a dead deer on Hole 7 of our BRATS course :)

PDGA DISCussion is better organized than this site's Forum, sigh.

But coming Friday we will have something no one else has - the best Tournament Calendar you can imagine. It will even include Invites and RSVPs. It is something I have been personally wanting to bring about for more than 8 years.

I'm waiting for someone to suggest putting a towel down on top of the carcass and then stepping or kneeling on the towel...
