The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Last night some of my friends and I were out late at a local course. Just a friendly game of glow golf. It started off as doubles for the first round. ended up singles on the second round and that is when the fun really started.

Picture this. You haven't played with your golf buddies in a while. So we all met for a glow round. Great fun. That was right up until I broke the rules. When we go out with my 3 and 5 year old nephews we have two rules #1 stay behind #2 is find a pole on tee off. Well last night on hole #3 at bandemer in Ann Arbor Michigan I learned rule #1. Peter and I were looking for his disc in the woods. I was on the edge of the fairway trying to find the discs glow. As I turned toward the right I hear LOOK OUT. I look and before I know it I'm attacked by flying Leopard. Let me tell you first hand Stay behind. It hurts really bad to get hit in the jaw with a disc that was being thrown to go 250 ft. I made a whole bunch of noise after that for a little while but we found the disc. Bottom line is Peter and I should have waited to find his disc and let Foz throw. At least I'm the one that got hurt.

Finished the round -1 played really well after that. thinking about getting hit before every round. JK

yeah, that was fun last night. i was really tired or i would've stayed later. i'm fine without any lights especially till after the drive then no one has to walk the full distance 3 times per hole

kudos to garrett for the new path to the "long" tee on 5!!!!! By the way, garrett has been christened the "Head greenskeeper" of bandamer!!!!!!!

yep, we were discussing getting together at dusk. those that can make it earlier can play regular until there is no daylight. then glow to follow as darkness arrives. There was talk of placing solar powered lamps on the baskets during the first round. although, someone would need to bring them. or we could consider taping some flashlights on all the poles.
