The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

This past Wednesday I woke up to sunny skies and 73 degree temperature. After checking my cphone I noticed that Josiah had called and that could only mean dgolf.

So it began. We began the afternoon playing bag tag round at UAH. The unusually light winds allowed me to really open up and throw some monster throws(for me). I finally could feel myself pulling back with full extension allowing my head to come away from the target but yet my release was still on target. What was I doing different than before? As Chubbs once said, "It's all in the hips." Everything beging with your footwork, momentum is gained and the first part of the hip turn begins. After the extended pull back, my hips and upper torso where really twisting quickly increasing my arm speed and allowing for an awesome controlled slight-turnover drive. I think I finished shooting 5 up getting 13, and 16 and almost duecing 5 and 8.

After UAH another bag-tag round was played at Mastin lake where I shot super average and only logged a -1. Oh well, Mastin always seems to play tougher than I remember.... Parked 3, 4, 10, but other than that pretty much pretty much par-city with a bog on 11, 13.

After some refreshments and another disc setup change it was off to Brahan. Several people decended on BSprings about the same time and it became obvious that an intense round of doubles would insue. So the discs were flipped and teams were picked. Lee Coffey and I, B. Drake and Sidearm Sam(default), Jooooosiahhhh and Darren, Tyler and Lee's friend.

We started on 1 but things didn't begin until hole #3 where my Roc flew up the gut for a nice birdie. After missing a 560' putt on 4 the birdie fest ensued. Holes 5-15 were shot with only 22 shots. Unfortunately, we missed our putts on 16 but got 17, and 18 to finish -14down! Sam and Bill shot 13 and Darren/Josiah shot 12. Very epic round had by all and a ton of fun.

Finally Tyler and I finished the day off with 17 holes back at UAH. I was so loos from the day where I was able to throw most of my drives over 400'. Man did that feel good.

Well gots to get some rest before tomorrows tourney!
