Bill and I finally got back together for our Thursday round at Gower. We went around four times and I was +2, +1, -2, and +1. I should have been -1 on the fourth round, but I ran into trouble on the last hole. There was a bunch of Hispanic kids playing along the right side of the fairway that forced me to stay left. I barely crossed the outfield fence and went OB. I was still there for my bogey. I putted into the chains but my disc caught a gust of wind and hit the chains flat and the chains threw it out. Bummer! I had my sidearm working pretty well tonight. I've never been able to throw that long that consistently. In the four round I birdied 1, 2, 3, 4, and 9 and I had four good looks at 8. I also nearly hooked a birdie on 7. It was on my worst tee shot of the four rounds on that hole. I had to bend my approach hard to get to the basket and I nearly dropped it in. I also threw a couple of horrid sidearm shots, but overall I threw them very well.
It was good to be back with Bill and Carla. We usually have a good time talking disc golf and gossiping about other players and what's going on in the local disc golf world and also the PDGA world! Bill and Carla have been on a cruise, so we had to talk about that too. They went with their daughter, son-in-law, and their kids and had a great time.
