My last round today was at my 400th course played, Valley View park in Altoona, PA. It is 9 holes, somewhat too tight mixed with open. Very muddy, hard to navigate, but with good signs and tees. Several long fun holes save it and make it decent course.
Also played Getty Heights in Indiana, PA first today. It has 2-3 dumb blind woods holes, the rest are open-ish and short but good for beginners. Then I got a haircut.
Next, I went to IUP to play the PA state championships course (this weekend). I met Micheal Dropcho, he gave me some help on the course. It was awesome. On a ski hill, but very long and technical and tight for the most part. Even has an uphill hole that almost requires a roller! It is top-notch, wish I was playing the tournament.
Then down to Ligonier to play the FLY-18 course. It is a short one for a fly -18, mostly par-3's that are hard to 2. I got wet once and soaked my feet to retrieve my disc, not wearing my waterproof shoes for the first time this week..
Good day, I am trying to catalogue today's pics now. I am nearby the course in Camp Hill, PA and plan to play in the morning, then maybe a bit south, I will be in eastern PA for the whole week at least.
