will be my first tournament this year. I'll have to get out there soon to practice a few rounds.
I feel bad that I havent been able to renew my PDGA membership, but oh well. being unemployed kinda sucks.
I guess if I had to choose, and it looks like I did..... I chose to play a tourney rather than renew, although I know I will renew as soon as I can.
now to try and get a friend or two to go play it also. I have a feeling they will wuss out as usuall. anyone else have friends like this that seem to love the sport but wont go to a mini or tournament?
anyways.. I go into this with huge confidence as my game has been awesome lately and it's mostly due to just that.. confidence.
I'm looking forward to meeting some names from the PDGA boards as well as here that I havent quite been able to match to a face so far. I love tournaments. even when I am all alone I am amongst friends at a tournament.
now that I am signed up the only down-side is I will think of nothing but the tourney for the next few weeks and will probably play a ton more than I normally would, which is good. I hate thinking about my regular life.
moving..school...how to pay for stuff.. bleh!! disc golf!!
ok, now that I've written about it a bit.. I'm excited.
ok. just gonna edit this.
I finished 12'th out of 18 in the INT div I think.
I started off good, but my mental game was just not there. I tried to have fun though. saw some friends I met from past tournaments and made some new friends. so that was cool.
but I was really dissapointed with my placement. I know I am better than that.
I guess I have some things to work on, but it seemed mostly mental looking back on it now a few weeks later.
maybe some changes will occur if I work on them and I'll try the DD tourney at Lester lorch this august again.
I hope I can do better. finishing the middle of the pack in the INT division the last 3 tourneys is killing me.
I must repeat my mantra..."I am tiger woods.. I am tiger woods!!"
