Please don't stay in Tigard... it's only a short drive the the 'Couve and we'd love to see you!! Abby's welcome to hang with the boys in the back yard too :)

I LOVE WIllamette (home course) but Gawain is right about Adair. Also, I've not played the Salem course, but you could drive a little past Salem and play Champoeg... a great park... always a fun play. Of course, if you've already played Champoeg in the past, something new is always good :)

Sounds like a great trip Matt. One bit of advice: be flexible. Schedules don't always go as planned, especially if there's weather, construction, a course that is unplayable or one you want to play again with locals. Know what other courses are around along your route, in case schedules change. Motel 6 is great - cheap, reasonable clean and safe most of the time (not in Vegas...) and the office is always staffed for late check-in. AJ and I usually play until sundown on trips then drive a few hours.

Also - try not to eat any chains or fast food - eat locally, it's a lot more fun! Most of all, enjoy yourself!!!

Thanks Gawain! Yeah - I was doing my best to pick favorite and not-played courses in Oregon. I was bummed to learn that Hagg Lake is mostly removed right now. I'll probably swap out Adair for Willamette. I guess it depends on time. I'm not a big fan of the disc golf on a golf course stuff. It's a little boring and hurts my arm.

But yeah - email me at m k @ c o o l b e a n s .com for my cell # and we can meet up at McIver.

This looks like a great road trip. I recently took one myself, playing Trojan, Lucky Mud, Pier, Cascades Gateway, Adair, Oakway, Dexter, Steilacoom, SeaTac, Lakewood, and McIver! I recommend Adair Park over Willamette: both are good, but Adair is better. Both are better than Cascades Gateway, but CG is so close to the freeway, it's hard to skip, and can easily be played in less than 2 hours. Also, consider hitting Oakway in Eugene, for 18 huge holes of disc-on-ball-course golf, rent a cart and get some brews at the prop shop! I will try to hook up with you when you are at McIver, I can usually get there by 5:30 after work. Have a great time!
