The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I just spent half the day with an orthopedic surgeon. I got more x-rays and then a CT scan. In the end, he determined that surgery was not necessary. This was based on two different reasons. The first being that the displacement that he would try to fix was only 1 mm and it takes a displacement of 2 mm before they deem surgery necessary. That was the good reason. The bad reason why not to do surgery is that I actually have many small fractures in addition to the two large ones that they could see with x-ray alone. (The word "mush" was used many times.) There isn't anything solid enough to pin from.

But, back on the good side, my best case scenario is a 100% recovery. So, I expect that I will not have any lasting negative effects from the break.
