thanks to all the disc golfers in my community for making 2007 a fun year. I spent all year trying new things. I got to halloween and decided the most important thing is to stick to a drive and putt that works. I changed putters about 5 times. its not the disc but the putter. Its a great life lesson. If your gonna do something, stick with it. repetition is the key to life. My business is thriving right now because the reptitious world of painting has allowed me to bid jobs better, and know what my time is worth.
Speaking of, another life lesson Ive learned from disc golf, making my disc golf time worth it. I hit the field and the back yard. Not just a open field but a wooded canopy field. where I can throw 20 to 25 disc down different lines. This allows me to play only 2 to 3 times a week. I used to run out to the course every day but I wasnt getting any better.
A new year is time to reflect about what you learned and what you want to accomplish in the new year. I think its finally time to run with the big dogs, I think a couple of alabama pros have taken notice. I want to run with big dogs in my every day life as well. You can only be a scum bag for so long before you want to try something different. No more cigarettes (hopefully). Sports and women, throw in a little beer and Im happy,
Any person can go into debt, own a house, buy a new car, I dont want a mundane everyday life. I think thats what attracts us all to disc golf. A release from our ordinary responsible boring lives. I can be a star on the course and teach other people what I know, maybe give away some frisbees to new players. I can help raise money for a new course or just stare at uah jogger women.
