The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Bill and I got together again and went around Gower 4 times. I was +2,-2,+1, and +1 to end up at +2 for 36 holes. As we approach summer the poison ivy is getting stronger and stronger over there. You sure don't want to get into the woods along #5 or over throw the 5th basket. There is also a lot of it on the 7th fairway and in the woods along the 7th. Dave Delgado (an assistant baseball coach at Furman) was waling laps while we were playing. I talked to him for a couple of minutes. There were quite a few people playing today. Gower used to be an unused course.

Fran and I had a nice round there Monday. Apart from the tank traffic and the two crazy teepads, it's a good variety of shots and a good way to spend an hour. But do you think the increased golf traffic will force a move of the #9 pin? Also, the Parks director is retiring- too bad it's not an elected position. Maybe we could talk Alan Beaver into commuting from his new place in Chapin?
