I can't believe anyone lives here, or wants to come here..whatever floats your boat.
Yorktown Heights, NY- FDR State Park:
Nice variety of shots, and of terrain. Mix of rubber and mostly dirt, some are rutted. Good signs and scorecards with maps. It begins in tight woods and ends in a semi-open area of grass and pine tree rows, with tons of ivy. Watch for kids smoking in the back holes, hiding behind trees asking if they can throw your frisbees. It is very technical for the most part, some holes 5-10' wide tunnels. Well maintained and clearly often played, back 9 wasn't mowed recently though.
Mahwah, NJ- Campgaw/Campgaw Layout (Short):It's on a ski resort, but all in the woods behind and above it, no open shots. Views of the surrounding county from up top. Nicely designed and not very tough in the short layout, sadly I missed the chance to play the longer layout. Most holes are either a good chance for 2 with a putter or midrange, or a medium difficulty par 3. Signature 500' steep downhill tunnel hole, another hole is 210' uphill but so steep it plays 300' easy. Easy to navigate with most signs there. At parking lot, the path into woods is return from #18, not path to #1.
Staying with Ruth (Sister) and Nic (Bro in law) in Brooklyn for the next few nights. Warwick, NY in the morning or sometime tomorrow.
