The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Me and Nic went to Warwick first today. Getting out of the city took most of the morning.
Played Campgaw again for the last (3rd) round today.

Warwick, NY- Warwick:
A really great and insanely long course (blue to blue). 4 different setups to choose from. The last few holes are like 700, 800..
Some holes/basket placements are some of the best I've seen, maybe even 1 or 2 of the basket placements make my top 10 favorites of all time. 1 was on a rock cliff, above another rock cliff, and one was on an island surrounded by a moat. It's a par 68. I shot a 63. Very well maintained and easy to follow, tons of poison ivy made it hard to land clean even under some baskets. Pretty much anytime you get a 3 you are going to be happy.

West Milford, NJ- Buzzy's:
A surprisingly nice very short older course. Not too well maintained, but not bad either-the kind of setting that doesn't need much and the holes are so short you can't really lose a disc except for the 3 water holes. Great tee signs made out of thick metal, arrows drawn on basket to point you around the course otherwise it'd be very confusing. The pads are just plain dirt. Tests every shot, had me throwing sidearm half a dozen times. Very finesse. A really great course to have nearby for practice and for beginners, to teach the basics.

63 B-B huh...that's a nice score. that's only two strokes off of what dave feldberg and other top pros shot at the 2007 skylands classic there. maybe it's time to do some pro events and start cashing in.

Here's the latest: Where Ben's Been Google Map

You've done a great job of scouting for us for our upcoming New England Tour de Rizbee. What were your top 3 in Maine?

a guy told me about all that
didn't want to play the extra 2 holes or wolfe woods due to itch concerns
2&3 joined will be killer
and 4 was pointless as it was in the short position due to construction so both changes will be for the better for sure
bad timing for me

The new tee signs will be in next week. hole 2 & 3 will joined into one hole. hole 4 is is gone all together and the two new holes come in at #11 and 12 (did you find them ben?) and will be in play. official changeover on june 7th. I don't have anything to say about the ivy except i'll spend the next 4 month itching.

Yep, understand that. So, some 'Round-Up', lose the dozer?, update the signs ......closer to 10.

...actually, I don't and won't use 'Round-up'...but you get the idea.

8.5/10 10 best
it's being changed around..#2 #3 were not the usual, #3 was like 300' shorter than originally with machinery in the way, way too much ivy in play, landed in it 4 times in 9 holes, had to go wash my putter off after #7, it was 3' from the pin my missed putt landed in it
that kinda stuff lowers my rating because i cant just throw and have fun around it i have to try and be careful
tee signs are old and faded, can't read most distances they could be re-made
otherwise well designed and maintained and challenging
