Thanking my Inspiration

I'd like to thank the reason I won advanced yesterday at the 11th Annual Ottawa Park Open. No, I'm not thanking my sponsor (although this now merits a completely unnecessary plug: http://www.poorboydiscs.com/ ha!) and I'm not thanking any of my discs (although the XCaliber was CLUTCH all day long)... I'd like to thank Chipotle.

In between rounds myself and a few friends went to Chipotle. Got myself a massively overloaded steak fajita burrito and ate about 75% of it on the way back to the park. The rest I re-wrapped and placed in my bag. Before the round began I looked at Nate and Mike (the two guys tied for first, three strokes ahead of me) and said to them: "I'm sorry guys, but I'm going to win this round. I've got Chipotle. It doesn't matter how you play, with Chipotle on my side I can't lose." They all laughed it off.

Never again will they laugh off the awesome that is Chipotle. Thank you Chipotle, you're the best!

[now all i need is to go pro, win a world championship, and convince them to sponsor me...]

He threw his drive rather hard on a PLACEMENT hole and right into "Kenny's Shack"- a ski lift shack that is permanent. Hey.... I was rooting for him. My buddy was caddying for him, and I wanted to see him make some good cash. I could see how he was pissed off, and for good reason. However, he let that ruin the next hole which cost him two strokes and took him out of contention, even IF he aced the next hole as it was a relatively easy deuce hole.

Comment by Chris Wojciechowski on June 2, 2008 at 8:41pm: I don't know if I'd say the current uncrowned "best in the world" has a suck mental game, I'd be pretty irritated as well if my opponent got relief from a car and I was stuck under a dealer booth the next hole with no relief.

Comment by Jayne on June 2, 2008 at 6:06pm: Haha. Apparently Feldberg is sponsored by some Wine Cellar company. He mentioned it at the awards yesterday and everyone was laughing. PS... he BLEW UP! Barry's disc ended up under a car and the Marshall allowed the car to be moved. Feldberg was tied until he blew up and lost two strokes on the next hole becuase his mental game sucked! My buddy caddied for him and said he couldn't put enough positive thoughts into Feldberg's head... nothing helped!
