I went over again today and again was by myself. I called Bill after I played and he was at home waiting for an air conditioner repairman. They had waited all day and the guy finally came while I was talking to him.
I was throwing more consistently today then on Tuesday and I went around twice. I was even par both times with bogeys on #4 and #7 and birdies on #3 and #9 the first time around. The second time I birdied #4 and bogeyed #5. The city started to pour the 9th tee pad over two months ago and they left it as half a tee pad and with several pieces of rebar sticking out of the ground. On the 2nd time around I caught left left shin on a piece of rebar and it is badly scraped and very swollen. As swollen as it is I can't see going to work tomorrow where I would be on my feet for 8 hours, so I will likely call in and take the day off. It should be better by Monday.
I told Bill that with the heat that I'm going to start going out at 6:30 instead of 5 o'clock. It was in the middle 90s today and it is forecast for the upper 90s over the weekend. With the summer heat settling in us old guys need to let the daytime heat subside some before going out in it.
