I played a private course in Woodstock NY yesterday. It was incredable. I shot a 65 which at a new course is really great for me. It was a very tough up and down course. Not too many holes were long but they were placed well in the woods to give you nice fairways and interesting basket placements. I did get lots of treeflections and very few treejections. Only a couple of holes did I have to play out of the "rough". It is a great course which is still in progress (like most courses). I can't wait to play it again.

Zubie you can visit the local forums at Look for "Skothanna" He's the designer/installer of the course. You can just drop $5 in at the kiosk, but if you post when you'll be there it's likely you'll get some company. There's also a pitch and putt type course 5 min away at a Koa Campground, which Skot will soon be helping them expand to 18 holes.

I grew up just a bit south of Woodstock, and cant wait to head back just to play a round or 2 there. How do you get in contact with the owner of the course to be able to play?
