new course new best for me and so much more.

went to beaver brook campground today, Old course from the 60's steady ed design. Original mach 1's still in place. Went there wanting to see the old nastalga golf and thats exactly what i got. you can tell the course hasnt had much maintenance to it in quite some time, but so what its awesome there. got there payed my fee and walked to the first hole some guys were right behind me and i asked if they had been here and they asked if i wanted to jump ontp there card. Of course.

started off quick 1 and 2 duece 3 par 4 bogey 5 par 6 par. then it happened, short 140 foot down hill shot roughly 30 feet elevation change.picked up my jerry wizard let it fly low and slow, thought it was a bad shot cause it came out too late. but started cutting through some cabbage, and crashed the back of the chains and stayed. FIRST ACE !!!!!!!!


Arms raised all the way down to hug the basket. the guys were flippin jerry really fought the cabbage for me. I dont care about distance, plain and simple shot from the tee box constitutes an ace in my book. Ended up shooting a 5 down for the score for me to date. Im still smiling i had a blast and soo glad i went solo but found someone to play with.

Played with a guy and his girlfriend after, played like crap but i was teaching them how to play, never heard of disc golf before. Asked if they wanted to play and handed each one a wizard. Ended the round after not keeping score and took the discs crossed my name off and wrote "givin to shawn" and "givin to kim" hopefully they get some use out of them they really seemed to have fun.

NICELY DONE. its a great feeling, you broke your cherry, and such a memorable course. Well done as well on handing out some discs. I hope they stick with it and go out and buy some drivers! well you beat me to the first ace of the year, still havent got mine, working on #28

Nice ace man but the course at Beaver Brook Camp Ground did not go in til 76-77 its some where in the timeline of the 3rd to 10th oldest course ever with Baskets
