The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

After being away for a few months, I went back to Mosquito to check out the final layout prior to basket installation. Well I was quite suprised to find that 8 of the fairways that were cleared of brush prior to my first visit were over grown with poison oak. I'm told that this will be removed again, and over time the traffic of golfers will keep it down. Well in the mean time I can't play the holes #2 - #8. It's not that you will end up in poison oak on each hole, it's that I won't risk bringing it home and passing it on to the fetching Mrs. Getty. Not an option.
One other little thing. While I was moving a pin placement on hole # 18, I came across a rattle snake. I'm told that they are not to worry about much. They will let you know when you come too close. Yup, he let me know loud and clear.
So this course is great on potential. A diamond in the rough, so to speak.
Next up, Markleeville!

Thanks for the update, I was wondering how the Mosquito Course was comeing along. That will be the closest course to my parents house when its finished, which will make it a prime destination when I'm out hanging with the folks. It would be great if you could keep us updated as to its progress, and maby the next time I'm down that way I'll hit you up for a round.
