So in preperation for the Hotlanta (my first real tournament, and my first since signing up for the PDGA) I have played 5-7 rounds a week. I have also bought a basket and joined in on Mr. Ellis' putting clinic. In addition to that, I think I have finally figured out the innova flight chart and I am now selecting the right disc for the job and expiriencing some really consistent driving.
Of coarse you by now know where this is heading... yes I shot some of my best scores this week and I am continuing to improve. But its so hard to judge how good I am.
I used to play the Middle Tees at Central Park (GA) and i would score in the 10 - 15 over range. After months of practice I went back there and shot 11 and 10 over respectfully from the back tees, which i can say are MUCH harder.
I played from the Middle Tees at JP moseley and would shoot around 10 over, after practice, i have dropped to 1-2 over on my good days and I am in the 10 over range from the back tees.
McCurry Park is the fun one. They only have one set of tees to play at the moment. I used to shoot in the 12-16 over range, but this past week i solidly shot 8 over.
So I hope this is just the crest of lower scores as i head into the tournament. I am playing rec, but the way i am doing now, i should find my way into intermediate very quickly.
