I got the only person I knew there for a partner, what are the odds. Eric Mathais who I've played with before in 04,05,06. We tore it up pretty well, he made a 200' fairway ace. My shot took 2nd for us in the 1st place playoff. Like I always say..give me a partner who can putt. I got one.
Portland (Troutdale)- Dabney State Park:Tough, rough course. Several holes along a ridge, with thick thorns and a long way to go down if you go down. And you will. I lost my first shot on the course, drive on #9. Goodbye star max and throwing sidearm for awhile. Found 2 others though. Another guy in the group lost 1, and as a group we found 5-6 discs. Expect to lose at least one if you play here. Well marked, nice tees. A few long open holes compliment the rest which are a mix of tunnel shots through tight pines, and tight blind shots over and around heavy rough and bushes. A creek and a pond in play, with one shot over a pond. Other reviews warn of drug addicts breaking into cars, don't bring any valuables. 3$ state park fee, which I already paid at another course glad I saved the stub. Enough good holes to make up for the several that are just too tight and too rough, the kind of holes ever a top pro has a good chance of kicking a tree and losing a disc.
