Today was a burn. I drove 45 miles to Mt. Hood, after calling and they said they were open. I get there and they just closed, due to rain. I wasted 15$ in gas and 2 hours of my time, leaving no other close enough to play courses today, so only got 3 done. And had to play in rain non-stop. Gore-tex socks were sweet though.
Corbett, OR- Benson State Park: Technically not in Corbett have to change that. Shortttt, longest about 250', one hole is 99'. No real challenges but the 99'er is tight and overgrown, over a creek. Great views (mine obscured by fog and rain) of a mountainside cliff and waterfall. Basically a picnic area course. Map at pay box.
Gresham, OR- Rockwood Central:Short in basic neighborhood park, some shady guys hanging out meant I didn't get many pictures. Enough tree density to make a few holes tough to park. No hazards. Well marked, with bright green paint on # plate and bold #. Flat, and a bit muddy around tees and baskets. Most holes have options.
Gresham, OR- Vance:Practically across the street from Rockwood. Tighter, more trees. Some holes open, some technical. Pines in grassy park area, no rough. A fence blocks off a quarry, can come into play, no way to get down without falling to your death. One hole throws from within a few feet of the fence, then to the left over the corner, making it easy to hit the top trying to spike it. Weird. Cement tees, unmarked, but very easy to navigate anyways. Nothing over 300'.
