Ever wonder what a disc golf course would look like after an F-2 tornado hits it? ...wonder no more...

The course at Riverside Park in Hammond, Indiana got a direct hit Monday night. The tornado wiped out my local power grid except for my cable. I am currently powered by a generator and anticipate the same for a few more days.

I posted some pics in the picture galleries from my crawl through the course earlier today at the web site below and will add more as time and gas for the generator permits. Coincidently I took pics there about a week ago and added some of those for comparison.....it will be back but a proposed levee adjustment next year could end the course...

A tragedy. I Played there last year. Shocking damage. I remember playing with him once, great guy, hopefully his course will be fixed up and soon.

Bart, so nice to know you're okay. Geez. So many disc golf courses are in flood plains.

Trust me, we know down here. Our course got wiped by 3 consecutive hurricanes in 04. We lost hundreds of trees....It took 6+ months to clean it all up. Some fairways where nothing more then a mangled pile of trees and limbs, twisted and tossed around like toothpicks. Ironically all the tee pad and basket damage was from FEMA through the cleanup effort.
