Double G In the House

Went to the Detroit airport this afternoon and picked up Garret Gurthie and his caddy, Steve McNeill. They're staying with us tonight and we're driving them with us - in two cars - to Kalamazoo tomorrow, for Worlds. Picked them up in Clifford the Big Red Truck and then moved into Cliffy the 1963 Corvair convertible and drove to Bandemer Park for a quick 9 holes.

It was fun watching a 1020+ rated pro pick apart the holes!

On the way back from Bandemer a thunderstorm moved in fast so we had to drive under a carport overhead at a gas station to manually put the top up. Then we got hit by a hailstorm and learned that we could put our hands up on the convertible top and feel the hailstones hitting it through the fabric. Pretty cool.

ahhh the price you pay to own a convertible, its kinda like a motorcycle, my buddy's always bagging on me for having one with comments like - its alright, ill visit you in the hospital, or hey did you change your will yet, giving me all your discs when you get killed on your motorcycle, having had both a convertible car and currently a motorcycle, i guess convertible cars are like motorcycles, both can be bad if your caught in the rain, but if you have never had either one, you just don't know.
