The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

After finding out that many locals have disc golf courses on their property I've decided I'm gonna do the same. I got one basket from craigslist made out of bike tires. Hung an old smokestack on a pole....sweet low tone tone pole. I'm building other targets for my little acre and a half. After a lot of online research I've cut up some big ol' 26" tires and an old plastic barrel and found some other misc. junk laying around. My goal is to have 6 to10 targets with varied T-box options. We'll see how this developes. I've now got one and maybe two neighbors involved in this sport. I'll put a tone pole one one guys property and if get permission from the other (his son thinks its cool) then I'll have a killer signature hole with one he#** of an elevation drop. Me and the neighbor threw it once from two different locations - It really reminds me a lot of the Beaver Ranch signature hole #17. Time to get er' done.

I would love to build my own baskets as well. Your bike tire version sounds interesting. Can you snap a picture for me?? Maybe I'll give it a shot too. Your course in bailey sounds nice. I'd love to play it some time. I'm just up the road in Evergreen...play the Beaver all the time
