The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Bob L. gave me a call just after I got off of my rowing machine to see if I wanted to meet him at Lakewood for a round. With the sun shining and the temp in the mid forties it was too hard to resist. I justified going by combining golf with a run to costco for gas and family provisions. Chuck E. was there too for about nine holes before he had to head off to work. It was a beautiful day to be out. Warm enough to play in just a sweater but frost on the ground in the shaded spots. It's been cold all week and the ground was still quite firm, lots of big skips. It was also unusual to see the lake completely frozen over. There was a disc sitting on the ice in the middle of the pond past hole 15 which we had no way to retrieve, the ice isn't that thick! By the time I left the course around 3:00 there were quite a few golfers showing up to get in a round before dark. The days are slowly getting noticeably longer.
