Boiling Springs & Fay's Remains

I met Bill and Carla for a round after lunchtime today. We played the shorts today. I nearly birdied #1, then birdied 3,4,6,7,8, and 9. But disaster struck on #5 with a double bogey. I threw a thumber that if it had been a few inches to the left would have been in good shape for another birdie. But when it turned over, it clipped a tree and shot down the hill. It started blowing and raining a little on the back nine and I began really struggling. We only played through 13 before it started really raining and I had a pair of bogeys and a pair of double bogeys. That left me at +2 after 13 holes. I have yet to play the other holes on that course, so I might run over there late this week after Fay is done dropping rain on us.

We're in south Carolina and only wish that we could get the heavy rain from Fay and whatever tropical storms might follow behind it. We are in the 2nd year of a drought and most piers, docks, and ramps are now far from the water. Our governor is waiting to see if we get rain from the tropical storms before issuing mandatory water restrictions. Plus our water systems feed Lake Lanier which is where Atlanta gets their water. It is getting serious in Atlanta as well as here.
