The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I practiced my putting today! YAY ME!!!

Other notes:
I've just started playing the sport of Disc Golf as of late June 2008.
I'm currently in the works of creating a Disc Golf Club at the UW-Waukesha campus.
I want to get approval at the UW-Waukesha campus to build a Disc Golf course.
Does anyone else disc golf in their sleep? :-P

I will definitely do that once it is appropriate for our club size.
At this time, I don't want to try and do too much at once. Main focus is member growth and getting some type of schedule down.

Once we do have enough members to do so, we may be a Disc Golf / Ultimate Frisbee club! We do want to try and complete at some point with other UW schools. Our club is already one that includes outside students of UW-Waukesha to participate. For every 10 students of UW-Waukesha that are club members, we may accept 1 non-student of UW-Waukesha to be a member. So I'm pretty excited about that too because that means my friends up at WCTC can also be apart of my club. :-)

That's great to get a chance to see and play the variety many courses offer. That will no doubt help your game progress.

if you need ideas for formating club league play...like handicaps, doubles and other fun stuff ...be sure to come here for input.

I actually do what you said, Jamie. I look at large pieces of land, fields and ponds, and dream of how a course could be on it. LOL.

When I am able to drive again, believe me, I will be traveling to other courses! I've actually got it good with my boyfriend really being into the sport and willing to travel. As a beginner, I've been fortunate to experience many different courses... long holes, short holes, lots of trees, water hazards, etc.

I will be promoting the sport throughout my school because I'm in the middle of getting the club approved. (We have to write up some stuff, present it to staff and SGA to approve, then we are good to go!)

Yep!!! What you will also find yourself doing is looking at every large piece of property as if it were a Disc Golf course.

When you travel, you probably look up local courses around the area your heading to...and even on the way to and from...figuring on how you can slip in a round or 2.

...It's all normal Disc Golfer behavior...lol....embrace it!!! Be the disc!!! Eye of the Tiger!!!

Of course..even after playing 3-4 rounds a day, I just 'fix' my rounds over and over.
