My DG Karma is A-OK

OK, so ya'll know I broke my leg recently. It's healing well, and I'm on my feet walking without crutches. I'm still wearing a boot cast for a couple of weeks, but it was sure nice to slip on a real shoe this evening after work.

I was wondering if my DG Karma was in check after such a silly accident. Well, today I got my answer. Just got an email from Uncle Joe that I won the Grand Prize at the 20th Annual Real Ice Bowl. That prize is a new, handmade, custom disc golf basket made by Tom Holsten. To top it off [literally] this a custom Double Decker basket. It has a mini basket built into the top!

I can't tell you how exited I am about winning this basket! I have a feeling my DG Karma is A-OK.

I would like to thank Uncle Joe for posting a message on the PDGA message board encouraging people to enter the raffle. I can vouch for the honesty of this event, and having bought a raffle ticket to an event in Wisconsin — and I live in Colorado — I hope none of you will hesitate to enter the next time he offers online tickets!

I took one look at the photos of the basket and said to myself "Oh heck yes ... I want to win that baby!" Thanks to Holsten for making such an awesome basket and making available to help support a great cause. I believe the funds raised from the 20th Real Ice Bowl are going to support the MAAC FUND [Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer]. Best of luck to Uncle Joe, I hope you raised a ton a dough.
