So I finally completed my constitution for my club for at the college so it can be approved as of the 1st day of school! I just wanted to post that because I'm proud of myself for not procrastinating! I have so much coming up that I'm involved with, and disc golfing has become a passion to me.
Because I'm a HUGE fan of networking, and some of you probably know this, in our school's 1st newspaper edition, I get to put in an article about disc golf and to draw in members for the club! I'm also apart of the Welcome Week committee at my campus, (I'm the 1st and ONLY freshmen to ever be on this committee because the purpose of the committee is to welcome the freshmen to campus), and during the 2nd week of school we have events each day. On Thursday clubs are allowed to set up tables to promote themselves. I've been offered to set up a table for students who are interested to sign up for the DGG!
My first 3 weeks of school I will be extremely busy, but I plan to still fit in disc golf! I set up a schedule of practicing putting for these weeks especially. I will be doing a speech in front of a class on the 1st day of school to encourage students to participate in the Welcome Week events. I will be deputized to register students to vote, our school's goal is to register 800 students, my goal is to register HALF of the students on campus (1,000). I'm also running for the Public Relations position in the Student Government Association. We have elections in the 3rd week, so I have to start campaigning. When it comes to the Student Government elections, me and 2 other students are going to campaign together! Each of us is running for a different position.
So that's my busy schedule for Sept.! Now when October comes around, I will put more of my focus back on getting approval for a Disc Golf course to be built on campus. I've spoken with Terry Miller about designing the course, and I think it would be super awesome if he could teach a course at our campus! I'm excited to get this project in the works, but one thing at a time! I also have my boyfriend to refer to when it comes to this process, he help get the course built at UW-Whitewater.
OK, that's all for today, I know.... this was a long one!!! Now maybe you guys have a better idea about how MOTIVATED I am. You can do anything you put your mind to!
