Woman competitors

Does anyone know where the best tournaments are for women in the southern mid-western states?? I hate it when there's only 2 or 3 competitors. I guess I could play am. mens or something. I've played advanced womens for awhile now, and I'm bored with it. I plan to play womens masters at worlds, I'm just not good enough to play pro. So, I'm thinking Texas State Championship and the Memorial would be good tournaments, any suggestions? I recall someone saying the Kansas City Wide Open may be good, maybe?

Comment by Heidi Tesch on January 29, 2008 at 5:38pm: You should absolutely play the Texas Women's Championship. Last year, there were about 50 women at the tournament! I unfortunately won't be able to play this year b/c I am in a wedding that Sunday, but it is definitely worth it!

Comment by spiderwoman on January 29, 2008 at 1:51pm: In Kansas I would hit Doo Dah last weekend of May. Most of the Wichita Girls (maybe half dozen or more) will be probably be there. We had 8 women at the Icebowl on Sunday!!! That is the most I have seen @ a regular tourney.
