I played 9 holes at Holmes today and finished at +1. I should have finished -1, but ran into trouble on the last hole. I bogeyed #2. I teed off with my Stratus throwing an anhyzer to the left of the trees. It went about a third of the way down then suddenly popped up high and flattened out and floated OB into the street. On 4 I had a very good tee shot for me and tried to skip a low thumber to the hole, But it hit a root and hopped up into a leafed branch and fell about 40 feet short of the basket. I birdied 5,6, and 7 to pull back even and then one down. I only needed two pars to come in under par. I parred #8 with no trouble, so only needed to par #9. I shanked my tee shot, but a decent backhand would put me at the basket for an easy putt. Then a lady and several very small kids started playing right behind the basket. They kept goofing around back there and finally cleared out after 5 minutes. Just as I came out of my X-step to throw a little kid shot out on a bicycle and caused me to throw way left. I had a 40 foot downhill putt to hold par, but I flew by the basket and well down the hill. Coming back I did pretty much the same. I finally put a 25 foot putt in for a double bogey and finished at +1.

I ran into the young guy that played with us at the Easley Ice Bowl. There were quite a few other people playing out there today. It was hard to get in for a spot with so many people playing on a small course.
