Went out to North Park at around 9:30 this morning for the monthly acepot. Gordy and I ran a 27 hole event so that we could finish in time to get home and watch the superbowl. We played 18 holes and then seeded everyone before playing 9 more (odd # tees). I think there were around 27 players present, which is better than it's been for a while. With around $500 sitting in the acepot I figured there would be some folks out to play. Kind of cloudy and cool all day but no rain to speak of. I ended up playing even for the day with one double bogey on hole 12 (OB on second shot). Personal highlight was getting the birdie on 14 for the first time, good drive and good putt is all it takes! I wasn't unhappy with my play although I did finish a couple of strokes out of the cash. North Park can be such a frustrating place to play. Jeff Smith ended up winning in the pros with a 9 down. Jeff Eliott won the Ams with a2 over for the day. Oh yeah, there was an ace today too! Ming V. hit got a skip shot to stick in basket 9 to take home the $500, nice shot!
