Timmons Park

I was ugly tonight at Timmons. I played with Bill and Steve and ended up +4. I also saw Ken and Lynn leaving the park as I was coming in. I was +5 on the front nine. I birdied #2, then on #5 I teed off and the wind took it across the creek for an OB. I ended up with a triple bogey 6 there. On #6 I went for a long putt and missed the basket completely which left me with an even longer come backer that I missed. As I threw my tee shot on #8 a lady's dog ran out in front of me and I threw wildly into a tree that set me down by the 7th basket. I had no approach and took a bogey there too. Then on #9 my tee shot hit a branch and dropped into the creek for anther bogey and I finished the front +5. I bogeyed #12 to go +6 and birdied #13 to pull back to +5. I bogeyed #17 to go back to +4 and finished at +4. It was ugly but I did okay by my standards.

If things really even out I have a lot of good fortune on the way! There are rounds that are just plain ugly and I sure have my share of them. But an ugly round sure beats a day at work!

This recap cracked me up, partly because I've had a few rounds just like that and partly because you managed to have nearly everything that COULD go wrong GO wrong. (That damn puppy!) Are you sure you weren't hit by lightning on the back nine, too?

Hang in there...some of 'em are bound to fly straight into the chains eventually.
