The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf
This saturday (February 9th) will be the Warwick Ice Bowl, and perhaps the first tournament that I play in 2008. I spent most of my time in 2007 off, not playing tournaments, and even though I have less time to disc golf, I am not ready to completely write playing tournaments out of my life. Warwick has brought me mixed results. I won the two day animals fest playing advanced, but haven't cashed in 2 events (one of which being the Skylands NT, and the other was my first pro tourney) playing pro. I am not sure what to expect. I won my first advanced tourney in an ice bowl, but I traditionally have a hard time in inclement weather. The layouts have yet to be determined, and I think that my driving game is better than it has been in a long time. My putting is still my strength. So I have decided to make the following goals:
1) Play the tournament with a level head and take the time to think over every shot.
2) Stick to my pre shot routines
3) Play my own game and stick to the plan, not try something I'm not comfortable with
4) Have fun.
If this isn't the first tournament of the year, I am pre reg'd for tournament 54 which is a 3 round one day tournament on maple hill airplanes, west thompson, and pyramids silver courses. But the same goals will apply. Hopefully I will return with good news.
