I started playing recreational disc golf around the age of 17, thanks to a friend of mine Al. Allan Beasley would instruct me whether I liked it or not (thanks Al), I've also had a whole lot of other great players to learn from (i.e. Tim Skellenger, Jerry and Brody Miller, Sean Phillips, Ladd Klink, Ty Baker, Jeramie Lankins are some of the names). In my beginning frolfing years I would just go out for fun with the guys, but then my pops signed me up for my first competitive tournament, the 2001 NW Amatuer Series. Dave Feldberg and Avery Jenkins were there giving instructional clinics and that is all it took. Once I saw the professionalism they brought to the sport I wanted to be apart of the growth. Through the years I have become more addicted to disc golf and have attempted to shaped my life around it, It has introduced countless friends and memories into my life. Now days I spend endless hours studying articles, tips, dvd's and online clips along with working out to stay in top physical shape to compete with the best. And when I am not practicing for improved play I am blogging about the sport I love so much. Currently I am working for PIAA Corporation and making it happen one season at a time. It is quite hard to work a full-time job and play at the elite level alot of these guys are playing at. That won't stop me from giving it my all. If I didn't have the heart and will I do to be better I woudn't be so engulfed by this game........I am in the belly of a monster called DISC GOLF.
Thanks for reading some bloggage by me and keep lacing the drives and banging the chains
