started yesterday with me going to a demo event at a local ball golf course to try and sell some golf carts.
I got there early and set up my temp basket so I could practice putting since it didn't seem busy and I thought maybe I'd get to talk to some of the ball golfers about disc golf. never happened though.
I went out to Rockwall this morning and met my friend Scott for a casual round. it was humongously windy!!!
I started out good and Scott did as well, but then the wind took it's toll and we started having fun. seems a lot of newbies and families out there since they dont have a regular mini at Rockwall, which kinda sucks because even though it's a bit of a drive, on a calm day it's one of the nicer and tougher courses in the DFW area IMO.
and they dont seem to know the rules or have much disc golf etiquette out there. lot's of people walking along the course and getting in the way and throwing up on us at some holes. we let two casual groups play thru and still seemed to be in peoples way and other people in our way.
I yelled 'fore' on one hole where there these two girls sitting too close to the basket and I guess they didn't think I would throw that far so I bombed one behind them and they immediately got up and moved, haha.
Neither of us played very well and readily blamed the ferocious wind!
but it was a beautiful day outside and we had fun so it was a good day of disc golf.
oh, and if anyone that has played out at Gateway park lost a tie died beast with no name or number on it.. I found it last weekend :)
