Well, after a crazy year @ Michigan Tech, i'm now back in Kalamazoo and I have been disc golfing ALL DAY EVERY DAY! And finally, after about 3-4 years of playing and improving my game time after time, i played my first tournament at Begg Park in Battle Creek @ the Handlebar Open. I shot the hot round in the first round with a 71, putting me in the lead by 2 throws. In the second round, my competition brought the heat and took first in the end by 1 THROW! Even though I ended up taking second, I had an amazing time and I learned alot from the day. I learned that every throw means a lot. All the small putts and up shots i missed or screwed up means a lot in the end. I learned that getting mad or angry doesn't do anything but mess up your game even more. Every throw counts. In the end I won a Discraft hat, which i traded for a shirt from the tourney. It was a good day in the sense that all the people we went with ended up placing in the top three...including Chris who also won the ace pool. What and awesome time and i plan to continue playing tournaments this summer. Wish me luck...i'm playing B.Y.O.B. @ B.R.A.T.S in Ann Arbor next week.
