back to Taos,NM for a few weeks! woo hoo!

Cant wait to get away from the Texas heat!! but I'll come back with only a few days till a tournament in the heat. sigh.

Anyways. I'm looking forward to getting to play Sipapu and twograyhares ( I hope I'm spelling that right) as well as the new course down the road a bit and maybe another course Ive missed in the area.
Sipapu is a butt kicker as it's up and down a ski resort .
and I know Bill and Susan Leslie travel a bit but it would be cool if they were in town as well.
I'll miss the Sunday mini's for a few weeks, but it will be worth it to be in the 70's instead of upper 90's for a few weeks.

maybe one of my friends will take over my #1 spot in advanced on Sundays,mmuuaaahh!!!!!!!
ok, Ive only won a few times. whats weird is I play better from the longs. I dont do well on the shorts when I play the Wednesday mini.

I went and cut down some trees and hauled off the cut lumber all day today and even with frequent breaks and chugging water/gatorade like no tomorrow it really kicked my butt!!! just too freakin hot!!

If anyone wants to meet up in the Taos area and play a round with me and a friend at Sipapu or TGH or the course near Taos, shoot me a PM or give me a call ( my # is on my page) and leave a message. I should be able to check the net every few days or so, and even though there's no signal way up in the mountains, we'll be coming into town enough to get service each day at least.

I'm very excited. I love it up there and cant wait!!

Albuquerque, NM might be too far for you to visit (nearly a 3 hour drive from Taos). But if it is not, then I would recommend playing Brent Baca and Roosevelt Park. Roosevelt Park is the oldest DGC in NM. Brent Baca is very long with 10-12 foot diameter circular tee pads out in the desert South of town…can you throw a 360 degree run up drive? It also has pallet storage racks (empty of course) on some of the fairways to create man-made tunnels. Fun stuff…
