Played today at Event 3 of the Island Summer series here on Vancouver Island at the Cooper's Hawk Course in Campbell River. As We are aging there are more G.M.'s up and coming. We had about 8 in the mix with Dan and i the only Senior GM's in the field. I threw my PB for the course at a -10, no bogies and 10 birds. Dan was right behind me doing a -8 staying close, ( he's a real pro so I felt real good about my score ). A little lunch break and away we go for the 2nd round. Thru the front nine we traded birds and pars and then on the last nine he proceeded to bird everything and went to 12 down. I bogied a couple and ended -4. Dan out muscled me a-20 to a -14 and we were first and second. Good thing is we crushed the rest of the field and took the dough. It's a fairly densly treed course and except for 2 holes I missed them all throwing a Dragon hard, with lots of speed on line with height to drop into the pockets. Made plently of 20 to 35' putts too so that was great. Out in the open it was the champ 155gm valk that zipped out there straight and banged big hyzer long bombs, it just went right and i guess I can still play a bit. Yahoo !!!!
