Just played a couple of rounds in rainy, windy cold, i mean cold and windy, not exaggerating in the slightest, and i only shot 4 worse than my average on this course. played with some pros, advanced and a grandmaster. i noticed 1 thing that set them apart from me. i thought they would all outdrive me to no end, but found that i was in their ballpark most of the time although they were slightly more accurate. their techniques were all different from each other and i noticed no one was trying to kill it. we all landed within 40-50ft of each other. It wasn't their putting either, yea it was good, not bad; but my putting has been pretty good since i began playing (less than 25ft). I noticed their 2nd shots were spot on, clinging chains, hitting poles, making long birdie putts that i would consider midrange drives. one guy hit a 100ft putt, which i wouldn't have thought about actually making, and would have gone for the layup because of the wind alone. they could turn a bad drive into a money 2nd shot. I'm still trying to figure out how i scored so bad considering my shots seemed to be within feet of theirs most of the day. how do i end up 7-10 over and they are in the negatives? ..................2nd shot...............

you're absolutely right about the banging chains on the second shots in .......... make a couple and taking no boogies make those birdies good and a negative score at the end of 18

relish the cold and wind. if you learn to master your game in such conditions, your game will be that much the better.
