The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Played in my first tourney of the year over this passed weekend at Begg Park. Doubles tourney for Disc Cartel. And I can I also say that I won my first tournament! Even though we were only playing against 2 other couples and we were all within 1-2 strokes of each other, a win is a win. Now this coming weekend I've been planning on attending the BCMAMS tourney there at Begg. But then yesterday at leagues I was talking to Lisa and she is going to the Disc Girls Gone Wild at Fitzgerald in Lansing on Saturday and was trying to talk me into going. Now I feel very torn!! I would love the experience of the Fitzgerald tourney, see some pro ladies, play a new course. Not to mention how hilarious I find the tourney name and want desperately to get a t-shirt that says Disc Girls Gone Wild! But I'm weary of paying to play in a tourney where I have never played the course. But it’s about the experience, right? Not to mention I have to be in Potterville around 6pm for a thing with the fam. Which if you know MI, Potterville and Lansing are one in the same. But the tourney at Begg I can play with friends and the hubbs on a course I know well and have a great time. Then hop in my car and drive to Lansing. If I could get my sister or one of my DG’n girlfriends to come along I would definitely go. The hubbs says I really should, it would be a great experience to see some of the ladies pros. We were unable to make it to see any of the worlds last year =( But I don’t want to go alone. I really don’t know what to do!!!

Go Girl. And when you go, go wild!

A new course is nothing to be afraid of. Throw down the middle of the fairway. Throw a good upshot. Drop in the putt. No problem.
