The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Have you
heard the term 'diarrhea of the mouth'? It's when someone can't seem to
prevent words from pouring out of their mouth (basically he/she can't
stop talking, whether from nervousness or a genetic flaw passed down
through generations), usually leading to a detrimental result.
I believe the currently accepted term for this is TMI (too much information).

Competitive
disc golfers can suffer from a similar malady, and the term 'Diarrhea
of the Arm' seems to fit. (OK, I've typed that disgusting word three
times already, including the subject line, and that's enough. I think
you get the point). In the case of disc golf, it refers to a player's

I don't mind if someone I'm with takes an extra shot unless it's my turn to put. I HATE have discs fly in front of me when I'm lining up my put. Please, wait until everybody your playing with has putted with before taking pratice shots!

Good point, Monster, and an excellent use of second and third shots. To learn. I just hate to see players whip that second shot without any constructive purpose.

If and when I throw a second shot after the one I play from, it is only to try a different line. I rarely try to do the same shot twice. I use it to try and break the habit of throwing what I "think" will work.

Chain Gang, I'm not angry at all- what would give you that idea? I simply enjoy helping people that want to get better, to get better! You are correct that practice makes perfect, but done the wrong way all that gets accomplished is the reinforcement of bad habits. Sorry if you find my suggestions upsetting. Keep on truckin', er, I mean keep on chuckin'.

Does it ever get lonely on your pedestal ??? Practice makes perfect. Stop being so angry and confront the source. Dont hate the player, hate the hater !!!!!
