Comment by DiZc chic on March 30, 2009 at 9:27pm: O.K. so there I am ~~~On "The Greenway" of Ocala. My first encounter of what disc golf IS. (Could be/Should be/May be/Would be/Is). Anyway...So I walk, watch, listen & followed. Watching~~ I see these guys throwing discs. Some at amazing distances (Long..Very Long or shortened by a tree), each with different stances (oh, & noises as they throw). The dog running & exploring, sniffing in delight. Then "The Basket". Oh cool~~ Metal rings with chains on a pole sticking in the earth = The TARGET!!!!! I hear a CHING, The disc IS IN THE BASKET...How the heck did he do it from there? And there are more....... 18 + . COOL Beans.....
I wanna go again.....I thought...so I walked, a lot, followed these throwers of discs, watching the discs fly & turn, curve & flip, roll, hit trees and hide, fly threw the air in tribute to their owners and land IN THE BASKET.
My confession...I was hooked.
