Discin in Ohio and New York

Me and my G-friend just got back from a trip to New York city to see Karens son, who is shipping off to Germany. The trip is Very long but thank God for disc golf. Karen had the forthought to map out a ton of courses on route to the city. We first took in a 20 hole course in Euclid(?) called SIMMS. Great course right on the lake, right off the highway! Some cool holes on a surprisingly well kept,clean public course. It was just the ticket after bein in a car for 9 hours and left us both ready for the second leg. The next courses we hit were in New York state. Basil Marella and some little quirky course I didnt catch the name of. MAN!...If you like a challenge and love technical courses , check out Basil!! This course was just awesome. A couple of 500 plus holes, some water shots and more trees than the Brazillian rain forest.(Hmmmm, maybe not) The 18 holes took us 1 1/2 hours to throw thru which wasnt bad considering how water logged the ground was, and how mant trees we thwacked. Probably my favorite course thus far though, very challenging and varried. We hit SIMMS again on the way back and loved it all over again. Its great that we get to enjoy this sport away from home and really makes me appreciate the many people who tend and maintain the thousands of courses that we all are forunate enough to play on. Thanks to everyone involved in this sports growth and accesability.
