I got the call about 9 am to meet at cedar Hill at 10 for a round with my usual group.
my friend and his brother and 2 of his friends.

I wasnt expecting to play that day but was glad to go so off I went.
I'm still unemployed and just had enough gas to make it out there and back and had $2 to my name for the day and was about to run out of smokes.

Since I am the more active player amongst these guys and usually play better than them I thought today would be a good day to finally see if they wanted to make it interesting and play for a few dollars each.
I mean, any one of them have beat me before but I can usually win so I kinda figured it would make it interesting and get me a few bucks for stoges and gas.

at first everyone was a bit hesitant, they had never played for $$ before or even in a tournament or a mini, but then it was only $2 each and I reminded them that any one of them could win and at some point all of them have played better than me ( I think there is where I jinxed myself)
we played the coyote course and I proceeded to play the worst round I can remember on that course.
I finished with a 17 over?!?! I dont know what happened. I felt very frustrated but I didn't let it show and tried to laugh off my terrible shots but it was killing me inside.

then.. when I was heading home my radar detector stopped working.

also ever since my ankle surgery my ankle hurts after a round, and we played the back of the beaver course also so it was a long day and now I was broke, my ankle hurt, I was out of smokes , no gas, and a little irked about my radar detector.
to top it off I missed my exit and had to go past it a bit on 67 when I was in a hurry to get back and help my dad move some furniture.

I just wanted that day to be over. not sure why I played so bad, maybe it was just one of those days?

the only bright side was the next day my radar detector magically started working again.

You didn't say if your 17 over was still good enough to win?

I know, thats what I was thinking the whole time before we started was " I am trying to hustle my bros" so maybe it was karma since we never played for $$ before this time.
