I made the twenty mile trek from East Grand Rapids to Lowell to play the challenging Fallasburg park course on sunday. The weather was fantastic and the course is incredible. On the drive to the course i was worried i would have to turn back because much of the grand river was flooding the surrounding areas and the course sits next to the river. Well come to find the course was pretty well drained and as tough as ever. Played with some fellas i met that morning. Fallasburg has got to be one of my favorite courses in the state because of its length(still unmarked as for distance) and difficulty. I have not managed to shoot well there yet. But it is possible. The course rewards good shots and has holes that make you feel good to score a 4, and make you wonder how you are going to par, HOLE 16 is what i am talking about if you have gotten a chance to play it. If you havent played the course yet i highly recommend making the trip. There are a few pics from the course on my page. No cement tees yet, but thats just how it goes.

I played fallasburg the other day and shot a 58. This was by far my best round at the course. my previuos best being a 61. The performance was made possible by deucing a lot of the short holes, and hitting the gaps. I truly consider par for the cours to be a 56. Hole 16 and 5 are definitely par 4's in my mind. i just dont have the cannon of an arm to make 3's

Joal,

Thanks for your kind words about Fallasburg. As the driving force behind getting it installed, and the lead designer it's nice to know that it is appreciated.
